Privacy Policy

"In the Making" lets a merchant (maker) track an order's production progress through named stages and share a private, updating progress page with their customer, with optional email notifications as the order moves through each stage.

From the merchant (store owner), we collect and store:

• Their Shopify store domain
• Their maker/brand name, brand colour, and logo image link — entered voluntarily in the app's Maker Profile screen
• Which products they've chosen to track, and the production stages/notes they define
• Their app plan and billing status

For each progress tracker, the merchant enters, and we store:

• A customer name and email address (entered by the merchant)
• The order name/number and product the tracker relates to
• Stage-by-stage notes the merchant writes for the customer

We don't collect payment details, physical addresses, phone numbers, or browsing behaviour. This app does not currently pull order or customer data automatically from Shopify — all customer information is entered directly by the merchant.

Customer information is used solely to generate the private progress page and, if the merchant enables it, to email stage updates to that customer. We don't use customer data for marketing, and we don't sell or share it with third parties, except the service providers below who are necessary to run the app.

• Shopify — hosts the app and provides the store and product information the app is built on, and processes subscription billing.
• Resend — delivers stage-update emails to customers on the merchant's behalf.

We keep a shop's data for as long as the app is installed. If a merchant uninstalls the app, we permanently delete all of that shop's data — maker profile, tracked products, and every tracker record — shortly after uninstall.

If you're a customer and want to see what data we hold about you, or want it deleted, contact the store you purchased from, or reach us directly (below) and we'll action the request within 30 days.
